Many Edge series devices* will power down on their own after a period of non-use if the Auto Power Down feature is enabled. This feature automatically powers the Edge off after approximately 15 minutes of non-use (e.g. timer is not running).

To adjust the Auto Power Down feature:

Edge 200:

  1. Power device on
  2. Select Settings (Lower right)
  3. Select System
  4. Select Power Down
  5. Toggle On or Off using buttons on right side

Edge 500:

  1. Power device on
  2. Press and hold PAGE/MENU to access Main Menu
  3. Press ENTER (PAGE/MENU) to select Settings
  4. Select System
  5. Select Auto Power Down
  6. Choose On or Off

Edge 800:

  1. Power device on
  2. Touch Menu
  3. Touch wrench icon (Lower right)
  4. Touch System
  5. Touch System Setup
  6. Touch Auto Power Down
  7. Touch On or Off

Edge 510/810/Touring/Touring Plus:

  1. Power device on
  2. Touch tools icon
  3. Touch System
  4. Touch Auto Power Down
  5. Touch On or Off

The Auto Power Down feature was designed to save battery life in Edge devices when no longer in use. For more information on this and other features for your Edge device refer to the Owner's Manual for your particular model.

* The Edge 1000 has a different power saving feature called Auto Sleep.
