Which automotive devices display the speed limit indicator, and where is this feature available?

Many Garmin devices have a speed limit indicator that will show you the posted speed limit on most major roads and highways. This feature cannot be disabled, and is available in the following regions:

  • Europe
  • United States
  • Canada1
  • Australia
  • Middle East
  • Southern Africa

1Canada has very limited coverage of road speed limits.

The models below that have the Speed Limit Indicator feature also have Speed Limit Error Reporting. This gives you the ability to change the speed limit in the event that it is incorrect or add the speed limit if it does not exist in the mapping. Some roads will have the speed limit applied in segments, so it may be necessary to change the speed limit multiple times on a singular road.

To report speed limit errors on the above models

  1. Touch the speed limit icon that appears on the map
  2. Use the arrows to adjust the speed up or down1
  3. Touch Save to save the change
