Garmin recommends using a Garmin-branded USB cable. To purchase a Garmin USB cable visit Garmin's website at https://buy.garmin.com/shop/

Although some digital cameras, cell phones, and other electronic devices use the same type of cable, not all will work with our GPS devices and may cause damage to your Garmin product.

Please note that damage caused by a third-party USB cable is not covered under Garmin's warranty.1

To purchase the appropriate Garmin-branded USB cable, please visit the link above and select your device from the drop-down menu. After you click the Go button, you'll be taken to your device's product page. Click the Accessories tab and review the Cables section.

Some retailers (including those online) may carry Garmin-branded USB data cables.

It is recommended to connect the USB cable directly to a USB port on the computer as connecting to USB hubs can cause a communication issue with the device. Avoid using USB 3.0 ports when using an ANT agent or Garmin mode device.
