Maps Purchased from Garmin.com Are Missing in Garmin Express for an Outdoor Handheld

Once purchased, maps will be available for download through the Garmin Express™ program for one year from the date of purchase. For more information regarding the download requirements of purchased maps, see - Map Download Requirements.

Maps that are within the one year download period will be displayed under Tools & Content > Purchased within the Garmin Express program.

There are a few reasons why the map purchase may not be displayed in the Garmin Express program:

  • The one year download period has elapsed and the map will no longer display in Garmin Express.

  • The download will only reflect if logged into the account where the purchase was made.

  • The map purchased is not compatible with the device. Verify map compatibility on the Garmin.com product page.

If the map purchase is still not displayed, try the following:

  • Under the Purchased tab, click Sign Out, then click Sign In and log in to the Garmin account that you purchased the map under. If you do not have an option to sign out, remove the device from Garmin Express and then add it again and sign in to the correct Garmin Connect account when prompted.   • Under the Purchased tab, click Blue Refresh Arrow to refresh what is displayed for purchased maps.

  • Check for updates to the Garmin Express program. For instructions, see - Updating the Garmin Express Application Software.

  • Try removing the device from the Garmin Express program, then add it again. For instructions, see - Remove and Add a Device in Garmin Express.
