Enable or Disable the Database Concierge Feature in Garmin Pilot:

  1. Open the Garmin Pilot application.

  2. Tap the Home button on the top left of the application if you use the home interface style. If you are using the Tab bar interface style, at the bottom right of the application tap on the three dots with the word More, then tap on Devices.

  3. Once on the Devices page, locate and tap on Database Concierge, found under 'Features' on the left-hand menu.

  4. When the Database Concierge page appears, look toward the top for blue text that says Enable Database Concierge (or Disable Database Concierge if you are attempting to disable it). Tap on the blue text.

  5. Verify that Garmin Pilot is showing the correct aircraft and aircraft device, then tap Continue.

  6. If desired, slide the Auto-Download Database Updates or Delete Downloads After Installation switches to the left to turn these features off. Garmin also recommends turning on the feature Exclude Terrain, which is found by scrolling down on the Download Settings page. The Terrain database update, due to its size, lack of expiration date, and infrequent issuance of updates, is best done by using an SD card and the Garmin Aviation Database Manager.

  7. Tap Continue in the upper right of the screen.

  8. Unless subscribed to Jeppesen Chart View, press the Continue button.
  9. Tap Accept on the database license agreement.

Database concierge will now be enabled and will sync with FlyGarmin.com to locate your aircraft profile(s) as well as download any applicable databases available for said aircraft.

  • Note: Customers using Database Sync in addition to Database Concierge when a GTN™ Xi or G500/G600 Garmin TXi™ system is part of the avionics panel should ensure that all additional SD cards are removed from those units prior to database updates.
