Delta Series Communication Issues Out of Box

Pairing Sequence for Delta Sport™/Delta® XC/Delta Upland™ Series 

NOTE: If one method does not work, please try the other method and ensure all your devices are charged.

Method 1

Preparing the Devices

  1. On the handheld:
    1. Power On the Delta handheld.
    2. Use Three Curved Lines to pick one of three different color settings (example: Black, Red, or Blue).
      NOTE: TheSingle Curved Line indicator along the top of the display aligns with the selected color.
    3. Set the Intensity level to 1.
    4. Set the training buttons with the Lower-Left Key to the T C M scheme (B C M for the Delta Upland Series - The Delta Upland Series does not have a T C M mode).
      NOTE: Under this configuration the top key will be Tone, the middle key will be Continuous, and the bottom key will be Momentary.
  2. Power On the dog collar.

Pairing the Collar and Handheld

  1. Press and hold Power on the dog collar.
  2. At the same time, press and hold C (Continuous) on the handheld.
  3. After 8 seconds, release both buttons.

Testing the Connection

  1. Power On the dog collar.
  2. Press T (Tone) on the handheld.
  3. The collar should respond and give a warning tone.

Method 2

  1. Power on the dog collar and the handheld.
  2. On the handheld:
    1. Select the Dog collar device selection key (Dog Head/Broadcast Lines) to choose the color. The selected dog collar device (Indicator Line) indicates the selected color.
    2. Set the intensity level to 1.
    3. Set the training buttons with the lower-left key to a scheme that includes T for Tone.
  3. On the dog collar:
    1. Hold in the power key (You must continue to hold the power key for the entire pairing process).
      The collar device beeps after 5 seconds and goes into pairing mode.
  4. While still holding the power button on the collar, select the T for Tone key on the handheld device.
  5. Let go of both buttons at the same time.
  6. The dog collar device turns off and beeps during the process to indicate whether the devices paired successfully.
    • Short beep: Devices paired successfully.
    • Long beep: Devices did not pair.
  7. Turn the collar back on and test to ensure pairing was successful.

TIP: If the devices did not pair successfully, verify the batteries in both the handheld and collar are fully charged.

Pairing a Delta SE Handheld to a Dog Collar

NOTE: The Delta SE handheld and dog collar needs to be fully charged before attempting pairing.

  1. Set the handheld dial to a number.
  2. Power on the dog collar.
  3. Press and hold the Power button on the dog collar.
  4. At the same time press and hold any training key on the handheld.
  5. Continue to hold the buttons until the dog collar turns off.
  6. Turn the collar back on and test to ensure the pairing was successful.

* The Delta Upland (XC) handhelds can be paired to other Delta dog devices/collars. The Delta/Delta Sport (XC) handhelds can be paired to the Delta Upland (XC) series dog device, however they will not allow for full function, for example control of the beeper.
