Setting up the VIRB Remote Feature on the Oregon 600 Series or Montana Series

The VIRB® action cameras can be controlled remotely by many Garmin handheld and wearable devices¹ using ANT+ wireless technology. For the Oregon® 600 series and Montana® series outdoor handhelds you need to add the VIRB Remote option to your device's menu, and then pair the VIRB to your device. Steps for both can be found below.

Adding VIRB Remote to the Garmin Device

1. Open the application drawer by touching or
   
2. Select Setup
   
3. Scroll down and select Main Menu
   
4. Select Plus Sign +
   
5. Select Applications
6. Select VIRB Remote
   

The VIRB Remote option should appear on the device's main menu. The device can now be paired to the VIRB camera.

Pairing the VIRB Camera and Garmin Device

Note: Some manuals refer to the Garmin device as such, while others refer to it as a remote control device or ANT+ device.

Up to 6 VIRB action cameras can be controlled by one remote at a time. For more information on setting up the VIRB camera for remote use, refer to its owner's manual.
