Garmin Boat Switch LEDs and Codes
The Garmin Boat Switch device displays two types of codes: LED and Display Codes.
LED codes apply to the channel indicated to the left of the LED as well as the power and communication status.
Display codes indicate the overall status of the Garmin Boat Switch.
Garmin Boat Switch LED and Code Troubleshooting
COM Solid Red- The Garmin Boat Switch device is not connected to a chartplotter
- Check the Garmin chartplotter connected via NMEA 2000 is powered on
- Check the NMEA 2000 network for power, continuity, or damage
1-31 Rapid Red Blink- The designated channel switch is manually deactivated
- To activate the switch press → on the Garmin Boat Switch Device. The screen will display SEL
- Press → to select the channel to be activated
- Hold MAN ON/MAN OFF for two seconds. The selected channel is manually overridden and active. The green channel LED blinks rapidly and the screen displays ON
OR
Hold RESET/AUTO for two seconds to reset the channel
1-31 Solid Red- The designated channel switch has tripped a software fuse
- Press → on the Garmin Boat Switch device. The screen displays SEL
- Press → to select the channel of the fuse to be reset
- Hold RESET/AUTO for two seconds. The selected fuse resets and the channel LED turns off
ELH- The Garmin Boat Switch device is not connected to the Master unit
- Check the Garmin chartplotter connected via NMEA 2000 is powered on
- Check the NMEA 2000 network for power, continuity, or damage
H00 and H01- Temperature warnings
- Power systems off and allow the device to return to operating temperatures
- If the installed location's ambient temperature is consistently high, move the device to a different installation location
