Storage Limit Reached when Updating MARQ Watch with Garmin Express

When using the Garmin Express™ program to update a MARQ® watch for the first time, an error message may be generated stating the storage limit of the watch has been reached and items must be removed to free up space. To resolve this issue, the watch must first be updated using the Garmin Connect™ App on a compatible smartphone before attempting to update with the Garmin Express program.

Pairing the MARQ with the Garmin Connect App

After pairing the MARQ watch and receiving the software update, the watch will display a message prompting to "Install" the update. If not prompted, the software update must be installed manually through the watch menu.

Completing Software Update Installation on MARQ Watch

  1. Go to Menu
  2. Select System
  3. Select Software Update
  4. If available, select Install


After the software update has installed successfully, the watch will have the necessary storage space to complete any available map or Connect IQ™ updates available in Garmin Express program.
