In the Layers tab, you can adjust the options below:
Chart Details (Low, Medium, or High)
Tides (On) - Tide/Current station graphic
Easy View (On/Off) - Text and icon magnifying feature
[Navionics] Community Edits (On/Off)
To access depths and contours do the following:
Open the Chart Menu
Select Settings
Tap Depths
In the Depths tab you can adjust the options below:
Show sounding (All)
Show contours (All)
To access Advanced features do the following:
Open the Chart Menu
Select Settings
Tap Advanced
2D Shading (On/Off) - Gives maps a textured view
Features Available with Navionics Platinum+™ Cartography
Map Overlays
To access Satellite Imagery, Relief Shading or Sonar Imagery do the following:
Open the Chart Menu
Select Settings
Select Layers
Select Aerial (Land and sea) Aerial overlay opacity: 100% = Full Overlay (harder to see chart details) or 0% = Less Overlay (harder to see overlay details)
NOTE: Using the Fishing Zone advanced feature with a map overlay, the overlay will not display in the area between the selected depths.
Panoramic Photos
To access settings for Panoramic Photos do the following:
Open the Chart Menu
Select Settings
Select Advanced
Select Panoramic Photos: ON
Target a camera icon on the chart using your cursor and select the pop-up to display detailed information.
Navionics Advanced Features
Advanced Features are included with an active subscription for updates on your chart plotter card.
Not all features are available for all models. See our compatibility guide for the most current information.
Advanced Map Options
Open the Chart Menu
Select Settings
Select Depths
Density – density of contours displayed on SonarChart layer
Fishing zone – select a range of depths to fill with a different color
Shallow depth shading – highlights shallow water between 0 and up to 10m/30ft
SonarChart Live
Open to Chart Menu
Select Settings
Select Depths
ON = Sonar logging enabled; SonarChart Live enabled OFF = Sonar logging disabled; SonarChart Live disabled Visibility – 100% = Full Overlay (harder to see chart details) or 0% = Less Overlay (harder to see overlay details) Tide correction – Allows contours to be adjusted according to nearest tide station in tidal waters
Dock-to-dock Route Guidance
IMPORTANT: Dock-to-dock Route Guidance is for planning purposes only and does not replace safe navigation operations.
Before using, from your Home screen select Settings > Boat details to enter your boat configuration.
To build a route between two points using the Dock-to-dock feature:
Select and hold on the location for the first waypoint
Select Build route from the context menu
Select the position for the second waypoint
Select Autorouteto here from the context menu
To build a route from a selected waypoint:
Select the existing waypoint’s context menu
Select Autoroute to
Select the chosen destination point
To build a route to a selected point on the chart:
Select and hold on the location or existing waypoint
Select Autoroute to here from the context menu
Route will be built from that location
Once you have reviewed your route and it is complete, select Finish route build.
NOTE: Dock-to-dock Route Guidance will not create a route when the start or end point is in an unsafe area (such as on land).
Plotter Sync
Plotter Sync allows you to transfer routes and markers, upload sonar logs, and update charts on your plotter card from the Navionics Boating app on a mobile device.
