"No Detailed Maps" or "No Map Data" Error Message on Kenwood System

If the error message "No Detailed Maps" or "No Map Data" appears on a Kenwood navigation system, follow the steps below to verify the mapping is enabled.

To Verify the Mapping is Enabled: 

  1. Touch Nav or Navigation
  2. Touch Settings from the Where To? and View Map screen
  3. Touch Map or Map & Vehicle
  4. Touch myMaps or Info  
    • The next screen will display the installed map. Verify there is a check mark in the box next to the map.
  5. If there is no check mark present, touch the box to put a check mark in it.

Putting a check mark in the box will enable the mapping and resolve the error message. 

If there is a check mark in the box and the error message appears or you are unable to put a check mark in the box, take the vehicle to a dealer for assistance.
