What Is the Garmin Connect TrueUp Feature and How Does It Work?
The TrueUp™ synchronization feature allows you to wear and sync data collected from multiple activity trackers. The Garmin Connect™ platform will also "TrueUp" all of that data back to all your compatible devices.
What Data Gets Merged?
Garmin Connect will accept any of the data below from any device that is capable of recording it. This data is then packaged up and sent back to devices that are compatible with TrueUp.
Calories
Floors
Intensity Minutes
Steps
Step distance traveled
What is a Primary Wearable Device?
Your primary wearable device is set in Garmin Connect and is the one device that will break any tiebreakers with other activity trackers. Data from your primary wearable device will always trump other devices when the data is equal and recorded at the same time. This avoids the same data being counted more than once.
For help with setting a primary wearable device see Garmin Connect: Setting a Watch as Your Primary Wearable Device.
What Devices Are Compatible With This Feature?
Most watches that track your steps will be compatible and able to receive TrueUp data from Garmin Connect. Select the option below to review watches not compatible with TrueUp.
