All Day Heart Rate Graph and Recorded Activity Does Not Match
The all day heart rate graph on your Garmin Connect™ account is reported only by your watch or compatible heart rate monitor1 and will not reflect heart rate recorded from another source. There are multiple use cases in which the graph might not reflect elevated heart rate recorded during an uploaded activity.
Activity was recorded using a heart rate monitor strap and a device other than a watch2.
Activity was recorded on a third party program with a heart rate monitor strap2.
Auto activity detection is turned off on your wrist worn activity tracker.
Auto activity detection will start a timer for specific activity types and can help the heart rate record more accurately.
The following suggestions can help you with keeping the information on your graph in line with what is recorded in an activity.
Record the activity directly on the watch.
If you are using a device other than your wrist worn activity tracker, consider broadcasting the heart rate directly from your optical sensor on the watch.
This is the best way to keep the heart rate in sync between your activity and your all day information.
Take off your watch while in the activity.
This will cause a gap in the data, however you will not get conflicting readings2.
1 Compatible heart rate monitors include the HRM 600, HRM-Pro™, HRM-Pro™ Plus, and HRM- Fit™ monitors. When paired to the Garmin Connect app, these monitors will only show data in the all day heart rate graph when there is no heart rate data from a watch at the same time.
2 This does not apply if you are using a compatible heart rate monitor1 paired to the Connect app and are not wearing a watch at the same time.
