Edit the Route Button on an Automotive Device

The Edit Route button is used to calculate a new route if possible to avoid something ahead of you. The device will take you off the current route and will attempt to get you back on your original route as quickly as possible.

The device might not calculate a detour if the route you are currently navigating is the only reasonable option according to your navigation settings.

To Access the Edit Route and Detour Options:

1. Touch the map tools menu icon in the bottom right corner:

2. Touch the Edit Route button on the top: 

3. Choose from the following detour options:

• • Skip Next Destination
  • Shape Route
  • Detour by Distance
    • Avoid Next 0.5 miles
    • Avoid Next 1 miles
    • Avoid Next 2 miles
    • Avoid Next 5 miles
    • Avoid Next 10 miles
  • Detour By Road(s) in Route

The route shaping feature allows you to easily change the course of your route.

The Detour by Distance option will navigate you off of the route for the selected distance.

The Detour By Road(s) on Route option will provide a list of the roads along your route you can select to specifically detour around.
