Customizing the Edge Remote Action Key

The action key (blue button) on the Edge Remote can be customized in two ways (Single Press and Press and Hold).  Specific Functions can be assigned to these button presses, such as Turn Backlight On or Start and Stop the Timer. Below is a list of the options that are available on the compatible Edge Devices. These options can be found in the sensor details for the Edge Remote.

To Program the Action Key:

1. From the Sensor Menu on the Edge select Edge Remote

2. Select Sensor Details

3. Select Single Press or Press and Hold.

4. Select a function for the action key.
   • Start and Stop Timer
   • Start Timer
   • Stop Timer
   • Turn Backlight On
   • Show Map
   • Show Compass
   • Show Elevation Profile
   • Show Lap Summary¹
   • Show Virtual Partner¹

¹These options are not available on the Edge Explore 820 and Edge Explore 1000.
