Mobile Devices Compatible with the Garmin Speak and Garmin Speak Plus

Important:  The Garmin Speak™ app can no longer be installed and has been replaced by the Garmin Drive™ App. To download the Garmin Drive app, visit Google Play for Android or App Store for Apple.

Garmin Drive App Requirements:

Android phones and tablets require Android version 9.0 or later:

• Wi-Fi and Cellular capability are required for full functionality
• The Garmin Drive app will not be available in the Google Play Store if the app is incompatible with the device being used
• Trying to install the app to an incompatible device from the Garmin website will prompt this error message: "Your device isn't compatible with this version"

Apple phones and tablets require iOS 16.4 or later:

• Wi-Fi and Cellular capability are required for full functionality
• Apple only includes the GPS chipset in the Wi-Fi + Cellular models

You may have to upgrade your phone or tablet's software to transition from the Garmin Speak app to the Garmin Drive app.

• iPhone X
• iPhone 8, 8 Plus
• iPhone 7, 7 Plus

• iPhone 6, 6s, 6 Plus, 6s Plus
• iPhone 5, 5c, 5s
• iPad Pro 12.9 in (1^st and 2^nd generation), 10.5 in, 9.7 in
• iPad mini 1, 2, 3, 4
• iPad Air 1, 2
• iPad 2
• iPad (3^rd, 4^th, 5^th generation)
