Turning off the preloaded maps on a GPSMAP 640 to display maps on the microSD/SD card

The GPSMAP 640 has the capability of displaying data card mapping when the preloaded maps are turned off.

To turn the preloaded maps off:

1. Switch the unit to driving mode
2. Select Tools
3. Select Settings
4. Select Map
5. Select Map Info
6. Touch the box next to the mapping program that you want to display. A checkmark will appear.
7. Touch the box with the checkmark next to the preloaded mapping. The checkmark will disappear.

You will now have the preloaded mapping turned off and your card maps will display the available areas.
