Diagnostic Installation For Windows 7

The most common errors associated with any DeLorme® program are the result of other programs running in the background during installation. The procedure below uses the Microsoft System Configuration Utility, MSCONFIG to temporarily disable most programs upon startup. Once the system is restarted in Normal Mode, the settings will revert to their default settings. While these steps are not always necessary, they are the first step in troubleshooting errors that may occur with DeLorme software.

If the application has been installed, uninstall the DeLorme program first.
Note: Files created within the DeLorme product will not be deleted during this process.

To Uninstall

  1. Click Start  and then click Control Panel.
  2. Click Uninstall a program.
    .

  3. Select your DeLorme program from the list of currently installed products.
  4. Click the Uninstall button.

  5. If the User Account Control window displays, choose the Yes option.

  6. Browse to the location where the DeLorme application was installed (usually C:\Program Files\DeLorme\).
(You can type C:\Program Files\DeLorme in the Search box to browse this folder. )
