Verifying a Red Light and Speed Camera Subscription Was Successfully Downloaded to a Garmin Dash Cam
Cyclops Red Light and Speed Camera or Dangerous Zones (France only) information will be available once you have successfully downloaded the database to your device. You may purchase a Red Light and Speed Camera subscription or Dangerous Zones subscription using the Garmin Express™ software. See Purchasing and Installing a Red Light and Speed Camera Subscription.
To View the Database Information on Your Garmin Dash Cam™ :
1. With the down button, go to Settings, then press the
button.
- Swipe the touchscreen on the Garmin Dash Cam™ X310, then select Settings.
2. In Settings, select System.
3. In System, select About.
4. Scroll down the About page to Extras and Red Light Camera
The database information will be listed showing the copyright and the date the camera database was last updated. This means the information has been successfully added to your device.
To Enable or Disable Red Light and Speed Camera or Dangerous Zone Alerts on Your Garmin Dash Cam:
1. With the down button, go to Settings, then press the select
button.
- Swipe the touchscreen on the Garmin Dash Cam™ X310, then select Settings.
2. In Settings, select Driver Assistance.
3. In Driver Assistance, select Proximity Alerts
- Skip this step on the Garmin Dash Cam™ X110, Garmin Dash Cam™ X210, Garmin Dash Cam™ X310.
4. In Proximity Alerts select Alerts
- Select Garmin Red Light Cameras on the Garmin Dash Cam™ X110, Garmin Dash Cam™ X210, Garmin Dash Cam™ X310, then select Alerts.
- Select Garmin Red Light Cameras on the Garmin Dash Cam™ X110, Garmin Dash Cam™ X210, Garmin Dash Cam™ X310, then select Alerts.
5. Check or uncheck the box next to Garmin Red Light Cameras by pressing the select button
- Tap the touchscreen on the Garmin Dash Cam X310.
The proximity alerts will now be enabled or disabled.
NOTE: Although the alerts are titled "Garmin Red Light and Speed Cameras," this may be referring to a Dangerous Zones subscription (France only) installed to the device, even though the Dangerous Zones subscription does not include safety camera locations.
