How to use the fuel gauge on a zumo 350

Garmin's zumo devices allow fuel usage to be tracked. The accuracy of the fuel gauge is based on the accuracy of the information entered. When tracking fuel usage, the zumo will produce both an audible and visual alert when fuel is low.

Before fuel tracking can be enabled, the device must be in motorcycle mode and placed in the motorcycle mount.

To enable fuel tracking:

  1. Touch View Map
  2. Touch the menu button (three horizontal lines)
  3. Touch Fuel Settings
  4. Touch the box next to Fuel Tracking to enable it

Fuel tracking is now enabled.

To set the distance per tank:

  1. Touch View Map
  2. Touch the menu button (three horizontal lines)
  3. Touch Fuel Settings
    • It is also possible touch the fuel pump icon at the top of the main screen
  4. Touch Distance Per Tank
  5. Enter the average miles per tank of gas
  6. Touch Done
  7. Touch Fuel Tank Warning
  8. Enter the miles remaining at which the low fuel warning is desired
  9. Touch Done

The zumo will display an alert when the fuel level reaches the one specified in step 8.

When the low fuel alert appears on the map screen, nearby fueling stations can be pulled up by pressing the fuel gauge icon. Once the tank has been refilled, reset the fuel gauge so tracking remains accurate.

To reset the fuel gauge:

  1. Touch View Map
  2. Touch the menu button (three horizontal lines)
  3. Touch Fuel Settings
    • It is also possible touch the fuel pump icon at the top of the main screen
  4. Touch Reset Fuel Tank
  5. Touch Yes

The zumo will begin to track fuel usage again, using the distance per tank previously set.
