Avoiding the London Congestion Charge Zone
In the Congestion Charge Zone in London, England, motorists are charged a fee to drive during certain times and days of the year. If you have an automotive device, and you would like to avoid the London Congestion Zone, you will need to have Toll Roads or Tolls and Fees selected as an avoidance in your navigation settings.
The current congestion zone area is included in the 2008 maps and later map versions. To view the area of the London Congestion Zone, visit the London transportation department's website.
For step-by-step instructions to access the avoidances on the device, see your device's owners' manual in the Garmin Support Center.
Once you've accessed the Avoidances list, touch the box next to Toll Roads or Tolls and Fees to add or remove the checkmark. On some devices, Toll Roads/Tolls, and Fees will be a separate line within the Navigation or Route Preference settings. Touch Toll Roads or Tolls and Fees to avoid.
When Toll Roads or Tolls and Fees is check-marked or selected, the device will avoid the London Congestion Zone, provided that an alternate route is available.
