Propane Restrictions on a Camper/RV 660
The Camper/RV 660 allows you to enter information about onboard propane tanks into the device's RV profile. The device will use this information to avoid or provide warnings for any roads with propane restrictions your RV exceeds.
For example, current Canadian regulations limit RVs to 5 or fewer tanks, with no tank above 46 liters. The combined tank limit is 150 kg. The device may display warnings after entering a route in Canada if your device's RV profile lists 6 propane tanks, or if one tank is listed over 46 liters. Similar regulations exist throughout North America.
Note: Fixed propane tanks of up to 100 lbs are exempt from certain bans in Canada. Garmin devices do not allow you to specify a tank is fixed. This makes the device unable to create an appropriate route when the RV uses only a fixed tank of up to 100 lbs of propane. We recommend adding a tank into the profile within the legal limits for portable tanks. This will allow the device to route around where propane is wholly prohibited.
As these laws are subject to change, always refer to the rules and regulations of the state or province you are traveling in as the above can vary by state/province. Any information that you find to be inaccurate can be reported to Garmin through the Map Error Report Form.
Check the device's RV profile for accuracy to ensure accurate routing and warning information. See Create or Edit an RV Profile for Camper/RV 660.
