Choosing an Alternate Route on a Tread

Automotive devices calculate a recommended route based on the navigation settings and vehicle profile. You can select an alternate route by using shaping points. Shaping points are waypoints added to a route to direct the device to use specific roads when navigating without adding a via point or destination.

To Select an Alternate Route:

1. Touch the Routes option instead of Go

2. Select an Alternate Route and touch Go

To Edit the Route Manually:

1. Touch Edit Route

2. Select a location on the map

• • Touch Shaping first to reshape the existing route
  • Touch Stop first to add additional stops to the route

3. Touch the map again for each additional location

4. Touch Save when you finish shaping the route

You can add up to 30 shaping points to your route.
