How Do I Remove or Edit My Emergency Contacts in the Garmin Connect App?
Select devices utilize emergency contacts for Safety and Tracking Features. If you have not yet set up your emergency contacts please see Setting Up and Activating Assistance on a Garmin® Device.
Remove or Edit Emergency Contacts:
Open the Garmin Connect™ app.
Select More (bottom right).
Select Safety & Tracking.
Select Safety Features.
Select Emergency Contacts.
Remove Contacts: If you already have 3 emergency contacts set, you will need to select the name of the contact you want to remove > Select Edit > Select Delete > Confirm you want to delete.
Edit Contacts: If you do not have three emergency contacts set, Select Edit Emergency Contacts > Select the name of the contact you want to add > Select Send Request > This will open your phone's messaging app. You will be able to send a message to your contact where they can opt in to receiving text messages from Garmin for the Assistance feature. Once the contact accepts your request they will be active in your emergency contact list.
- When you are done making changes, back out of the menu and return to the My Day page to sync your device.
