Environmental Zones on Automotive Maps

Environmental Zones are areas with certain travel restrictions. These restrictions will vary from one location to another (e.g. restrictions on non-commercial driving during certain hours, restricting certain license plates on specific days, etc.). Be sure to check local rules and regulations before driving in an Environmental Zone.

Some devices allow you to avoid Environmental Zones. This avoidance setting will display as an option on any device that is preloaded with mapping that contains at least one Environmental Zone.

Your country may not contain any such zone. For example, devices preloaded with full North America mapping display this setting, even though Mexico is the only North American country that contains an Environmental Zone.

To Select an Environmental Zone Avoidance:

  1. Touch Apps
  2. Touch Tools
  3. Touch Settings
  4. Touch Navigation
  5. Touch Environmental Zones
  6. Select your avoidance option

Environmental Zones avoidance will now be set.

If you do not see the Environmental Zones avoidance on your device, run a software update using Garmin Express. The option will be available once the update is complete.
