Garmin GPSMAP Chartpotters and NMEA 2000 Stereo Compatibility

Garmin GPSMAP chartplotters will work with a variety of NMEA 2000 stereos, such as Fusion, Polk, JL Audio, Rockford Fosgate, and Clarion. If you have connected an NMEA 2000 stereo and it is not working correctly, see Related Content below for troubleshooting steps. 

Garmin supports the following PGN’s and the features listed. If a feature listed is not working, consult with the stereo manufacturer to determine which of these PGN’s is providing the feature in question.

• 130569 Entertainment - Current File and Status

• 130570 Entertainment - Library Data File

• 130571 Entertainment - Library Data Group

• 130573 Entertainment - Supported Source Data

• 130574 Entertainment - Supported Zone Data

NOTE: There is a difference between a device classified as NMEA 2000 certified and NMEA 2000 compliant. We cannot guarantee the outcome or experience from a third party device, not NMEA 2000 certified when connected to a Garmin device.  ECHOMAP Plus, UHD, and Ultra units do not support the NMEA entertainment sentences.
