Syncing Deezer Music to My Garmin Watch

This article will provide instructions to use the Connect IQ™ app for Deezer on the Garmin® watches listed in the dropdown below. If your device is not listed below see Loading Music to a Garmin Watch.

Follow each step listed below when first setting up the Deezer Music app. Select each section to expand and view instructions on completing each step. 

NOTE: You will only need to work through Step 3 from the list below if you are wanting to load additional content to your watch.

Step 1: Download and Install the Deezer Connect IQ App

  1. Select the following link to download the app: Deezer Connect IQ App.

  2. Select down arrow next to download in a blue box button.

  3. If prompted, sign in to your Garmin account.

  4. Select your device to download the app.

  5. Acknowledge any app permission requests.

  6. Sync your device.

    • To sync via Bluetooth: Be in range of your paired smartphone, then press and hold the key to access the Controls Menu. Select Two blue arrows circling each other to sync

    • To sync via Wi-Fi: Be in range of your Wi-Fi network, then press and hold the key to access the Controls Menu. Select Two blue arrows circling each other to sync

    • To sync using Garmin Express: Connect the device to your computer using the supplied power/data cable and open Garmin Express. A sync will automatically occur once the device is detected. 

The Deezer app will now be installed on your device. Proceed to Step 2.

Step 2: Set Up the Deezer Connect IQ App

NOTE: The watch must be able to connect to a previously connected Wi-Fi network. You will also need your smartphone that is paired to your watch. If you have not yet added a Wi-Fi Network to your Garmin Connect app please see: Setting Up or Troubleshooting a Wi-Fi Connection on a Fitness Device.

  1. On the watch, press and hold Watch with circle on bottom left corner DOWN.

  2. Press and hold Watch with circle on middle left side UP/MENU.

  3. Select Music Providers.

  4. Select Deezer.

    • The watch will search and connect to Wi-Fi.

  5. Once connected, the watch will display a message to open the Garmin Connect app to sign in. At the same time, your smartphone should display a similar notification.

  6. Acknowledge message on the phone which will take you to Deezer. Depending on whether you have an account, the login process will be as follows:

    • Existing Deezer Users: Enter your login details and select Log In.

    • New to Deezer: Select the Register here option and follow the steps to create your account.

  7. If prompted, enter credit card details to complete the process.

Step 3: Syncing Deezer Music

From your Deezer account, create playlists. Saved playlists will display as optional music to sync. For more information see Deezer Support. 

  1. On the watch, press and hold Watch with circle on bottom left corner DOWN.

  2. Press and hold Watch with circle on middle left side UP/MENU.

  3. Select Music Providers.

  4. Select Deezer.

  5. Select Add Music and Podcasts.

  6. Select My Playlists.

  7. Choose playlists you want to sync to your watch.

  8. Select Done.

  9. Press Watch with circle on bottom right corner BACK and select Yes to "Start music sync now?".
