Alpha 200 Pairing up to 250 Dogs and Contacts but Tracking Only up to 20 at a Time
The Alpha® 200 and Alpha® 200i dog tracking handhelds can pair up to 250 dogs and contacts in the Tracked Devices List. Up to 20 of these devices can be active and tracked at one time; the remainder would be inactive. Because Contact Tracking consumes ID numbers when tracking, the maximum number of tracked devices depends on Contact Tracking being turned On or Off in the system.
- Contact Tracking is Off: The Alpha can track up to 20 other active devices. By default, Contact Tracking is set to Off in the system.
- Contact Tracking is On: The Alpha can only track up to 19 other active devices. Contact Tracking On consumes one of the available ID number slots.
- For example, if two hunters with both Contact Tracking turned On and tracking each other, each of the Alpha's would consume a tracking ID number slot, leaving a maximum of 18 dog devices that can activate.
Turning On and Off the Transmitter
- Press Power to open the status page.
- Touch My ID.
- Touch Transmitting to turn it on or off.
