Where RODS Reports are Saved on the dēzl OTR800 or dēzl OTR1000

The RODS report can easily be viewed on a dēzl™ OTR800 and dēzl™ OTR1000 GPS navigators, or on a computer.

NOTE: The location of saved RODS reports changed with a software update. See Updating the Garmin eLog App on a dēzl Device if the steps below do not work. 


To View RODS Reports on the Device

1. Touch the Apps icon

2. Touch Tools

3. Touch File Manager

4. Touch Android

5. Touch data

6. Touch com.garmin.pnd.eldapp

7. Touch files

8. Touch Reports

9. Touch HOSExports

10. Touch the desired report


To View RODS Reports on the Computer

NOTE: A Windows computer must be used for these steps. See Automotive Device Compatibility with Garmin Mac Applications on macOS for more info.

A device restart will be required before performing the steps below. 

  • Press and hold the power button for 2-3 seconds, then touch Power Off.
  • Press the power button to turn the device back on.

1. Plug the dēzl into the computer once the device gets to the main menu (Where To?/View Map)

2. Hold down the Windows key + E on the keyboard

Click This PC in the new window if using Windows 10 or newer.

3. Double-click the drive labeled with the device name

  • Windows 10 or newer: the drive will be listed under Devices and Drives
  • Windows 7 and 8: the drive may be listed under Devices with Removable Storage or Portable Devices

4. Double-click Internal Storage

5. Open the Android folder

6. Open the data folder

7. Open the com.garmin.pnd.eldapp folder

8. Open the files folder

9. Open the Reports folder

10. Open the HOSExports folder

11. The log files should now appear in the folder
