My Approach X40 is in the Wrong Language

If your Approach® X40 golf device is set to the wrong language and you need to change it, the below instructions will guide you through selecting the correct language. If the language is incorrect on your first usage of the watch, follow the steps for resetting the device.

Changing the Language

  1. Press the device key to enter the Menu.

  2. Select Black Gear Icon on White Background.

  3. Swipe up 2 times.

  4. Touch the screen.

  5. Swipe up 3 times.

  6. Touch the screen.

  7. Swipe until you see your language.

  8. Touch the screen.

You have now changed the language on your Approach X40 device.

If you were unable to change the language on your watch using the steps above, the below instructions will guide you through the steps to reset your watch. You will be prompted to select a language after the reset, during initial setup. 

Resetting the Approach X40

  1. Press the device key to view the menu.

  2. Select Black Gear Icon on White Background.

  3. Swipe down once.

  4. Touch the screen.

  5. Select Black Checkmark on White Background.

If you had customized settings, you will need to make these changes again. Bring the watch outdoors to a place with a clear view of the sky to connect to GPS satellites. This may take up to 20 minutes.

NOTE: Any scorecards saved to the watch will remain on the watch after a factory reset.
