Retrieve Photos From Outdoor Handheld with Built-in Camera

Several Garmin outdoor devices have a built-in digital camera, such as the Oregon® 750t and Montana® 680 handhelds. Once pictures are taken and stored on the GPS, they can be retrieved for geotagging or a variety of other uses.

Retrieving Pictures From the GPS:

  1. Connect the device to the computer with the provide USB cable
  2. Allow the device to go into mass storage mode
  3. Select the Garmin drive from Computer (PC) or your desktop (Mac)
  4. Click on DCIM folder
  5. Click on 10GRMN or 1000GRMN folder

Your pictures will now be viewable in a JPEG format.
