False Touches on a zūmo XT or zūmo XT2 in Heavy Rain
In heavy rain, it is possible that the zūmo® XT and zūmo® XT2 GPS navigators may detect the rainfall as touches. To help prevent the device from registering false touches from heavy rainfall, you can try the steps below:
- Place the zūmo behind a windshield to cover it from direct rainfall
- Mounting the zūmo at a different angle or position to minimize contact from direct rainfall
- For zūmo XT2: You can lock the touchscreen to prevent unwanted interaction during your ride. This can be useful during rain and other environmental situations that may affect the touchscreen.
- To lock the touchscreen, hold the power button until a prompt appears on the screen, and select Lock Screen.
- To unlock the touchscreen, press the power button.
