Xero S1 Reaction Time and Shot Speed
The Xero® S1 trapshooting trainer can show both the Reaction time as well as Shot speed. See the following information for the differences.
Reaction Time
Each time a shot is taken, the device records reaction time of the shot. Reaction time is measured as the amount of time the clay target is in the air before the shot is read by the device. This information can be used to determine the most successful time to take a shot. For more info about reviewing your reaction time statistics after each round, see - Reaction Time and Shot Speed.
Shot Speed
Each time a shot is taken, the device records the shot speed. This is usually measured 2 meters from the front of the barrel, based on placement of the device to the shooter. Other factors to consider that effect shot speed would be length of barrel and choke size. When the shot is picked up by the device it is estimating the feet per second of the shot. That information is used to find the Average shot speed, Max shot speed, and Minimum shot speed. This information can be used to help determine shot placement. Review Shot Speed statistics after each round (Reaction Time and Shot Speed).
NOTE: The Xero S1 trainer is taking an estimated speed of the shot. To find the true velocity of the shot it is recommended to use a chronograph.
