Changing the Vehicle Type / Usage Mode on a dēzl™ 780 and dēzlCam™ 785
The Usage Mode refers to different routes the device can create based on your vehicle type.
Your dēzl™ Trucking Device can use the Following Usage Modes to Calculate Routes:
- Truck: This setting will provide turn-by-turn directions using major roads that will allow large vehicles such as commercial trucks.
- Automotive / Car: This setting provides turn-by-turn directions based on mapping and road information. As such, it will ignore limitations such as weight restrictions or low bridge clearances.
- Bus: This setting will provide turn-by-turn directions similar to truck mode
- It will use bus speed limits, when available, and roads buses are not allowed on. Some roads will allow buses but not trucks, or trucks but not buses. It is important to select the Bus Profile and not the Truck Profile when used on a bus to take these factors into consideration.
The vehicle type determines how the device will calculate routes.
To Change the Vehicle Type:
1.Touch Settings
2. Touch Navigation
3. Touch Vehicle Profile
4. Select a vehicle type or touch the Plus icon for more options.
This screen can also be accessed anytime by swiping down from the top of the screen twice and touching the vehicle icon.
5. If the plus icon was selected, the vehicle can be selected here.
Repeat the steps above to change the vehicle type again.
