Transferring User Data From Garmin MapSource to a GPS 152 or 152H

To transfer user data, such as waypoints, routes, and tracks from the MapSource program to these devices, some additional equipment will be required.

  1. A/C PC Interface Cable (no longer offered from Garmin) that will allow this device to connect to an AC outlet in the house and then a serial port of a computer
    • If the computer you are using does not have a serial port, you will also need a Serial to USB converter cable. The converter cable is only compatible with 32-bit versions of windows.
  2. It is recommended to update MapSource to the latest version

Once MapSource has been updated and the device is connected to the computer, a setting on the GPS device will need to be checked.
