Error when Sending Address from the Garmin Drive App on iPhone to an Automotive Device

Locations can be sent from your phone to your Garmin device with the Garmin Drive app. See Sending a Location or Coordinates through the Garmin Drive App for instructions on this process.


If you search for and select a location without pairing the Garmin Drive app to your GPS first, it will send the location to your device the next time they are connected. You will see the message "The destination will be sent the next time your device connects".

This Message can also come up when your Phone and GPS are Paired but not Connected:

To Resolve This, Check the iPhone's Settings:

1. Touch Settings 

2. Touch Bluetooth

3. Ensure both the BLE and BT Garmin are "Connected"


If the BLE is not Connected, on Your GPS:

1. Touch Settings

2. Touch Wireless Networks

3. Touch Smartphone Services

4. Touch the box next to Smartphone Services to enable it
