Locked Mexico maps error in MapInstall when maps installed to SD card

Description

When a map is installed to the computer during a map update it may include Mexico maps that were not preloaded on the GPS and therefore are not unlocked to the device.

If The following map(s) have not been unlocked message displays when using MapInstall™ software to send maps to a SD card, use the Advanced/Partial Install option in the MapInstall program to choose the map regions manually.

Resolution

To choose the map regions manually in the MapInstall program:

Windows

1. Connect device
   
2. Open MapInstall program
3. Click Continue 
4. Click on the Advanced/Partial Install prompt
5. Select the regions needed¹, making sure not to include those that were in the locked list
6. Click Continue 
7. Click Install 
8. Click Finish

This will allow the unlocked maps to be sent to the SD card.

Mac OS X

1. Connect device
   
2. Open MapInstall program
3. Click Customize
4. Click on the Advanced/Partial Install prompt
5. Select the regions needed¹, making sure not to include those that were in the locked list
6. Click Send Maps
7. Click Confirm
8. Click Done

This will allow the unlocked maps to be sent to the SD card. Be sure to eject the device first before disconnecting it.
