Disable the BirdsEye Satellite Imagery When Using HuntView Maps

In addition to topographic detail, the Garmin HuntView™ maps include BirdsEye Satellite Imagery coverage. At times it may be helpful to disable the BirdsEye imagery in order to get a better view of the other mapping information.

Disabling BirdsEye Imagery on Touchscreen Handhelds

  1. Power on the handheld.

  2. Go to the Map page.

  3. Touch the map Layers icon Map Layers Icon.

    • Montana® 700, 700i, and 750i handheld users: Touch Satellite after touching the map layers icon.


eTrex® Touch 25, 35, and 35t Users

  1. While on the Map page, swipe up from the bottom of the screen.

  2. Touch Three Bars Menu Icon.

  3.  Touch Setup Map.

  4.  Touch Configure Maps.

  5. Touch HuntView Imagery.

  6. Touch Disable.


The BirdsEye imagery will now be disabled. It can be turned back on by repeating the same steps again.


Disabling BirdsEye Imagery on Non-touchscreen Handhelds

  1. Power on the handheld.

  2. Go to the Map page.

  3. Press Menu.

  4. Select Disable Imagery or Map Layers.

  5. If Map Layers was selected, Press Enter to select Satellite.

    • Enabled maps will have a raised toggle switch Enabled Toggle Switch next to them.

    • Disabled maps will have a lowered toggle switch Disabled Toggle Switch next to them.

The BirdsEye imagery will now be disabled. It can be turned back on by repeating the same steps and selecting Enable Imagery instead.
