Tacx Training App Replaces the Tacx Utility App

The Tacx Training app is replacing the Tacx Utility app. Below you will find information and answers to common questions about this change.

What Will Happen to the Tacx Utility App?

If you have already downloaded the Tacx Utility app for Android or iOS, it will still be available for use. However, support for the Tacx Utility app will soon be phased out and the option to download it will be removed from the App Store and the Google Play Store. For the optimal user experience, we recommend using the Tacx Training app going forward.

How Can I Download the Tacx Training App?

The Tacx Training app for iOS and Android  is compatible with iOS 12.0 or later and Android 6.0 OS or later. It can be downloaded from the App Store or the Google Play Store.                  

Which Features Will Be Transferred from the Tacx Utility App to the Tacx Training App?

The Tacx Training app will continue to function as it does currently. New features include:

• The ability to update the software on your Tacx smart trainer (see: How Do I Update the Software on My Tacx Smart Trainer?)
• The ability to calibrate your Tacx smart trainer using the Tacx Training app.
• The Testing Dashboard feature has been renamed to "Support" and is available in the Tacx Training app (see: Using the Support Tool in the Tacx Utility App)

Some options from the Tacx Utility app will be missing from the Tacx Training app including:

• Isokinetic & Isotonic testing modes (see: )
• Restore firmware option (this will be supported in a future update)

What Trainers Are Compatible with The Tacx Training App?
