Automotive device routing incorrectly on a one way street
If your automotive device is routing you the wrong way down a one way street, this may be caused by either a setting or a mapping error. If your device is set to pedestrian mode, then it will believe you are walking. Because you are not restricted to one way when walking, the device may still route you down a one way street going the direction that would not be allowed if you were in a vehicle.
To Check your Usage Mode and Change it Back to Automobile:
- Touch Tools
- Touch Settings
- Touch System
- Touch Usage Mode
- Touch Automobile
Your device will now be set to Automobile mode and will only route you the correct way down one way streets.
If the usage mode was already set to Automobile, this may have been caused by a mapping error. Make sure to update the device to the latest version of mapping using Garmin Express.
A map error should be reported if this is still occurring after checking the usage mode and performing any available updates. For information on how to report map errors, see Reporting Map Errors on Automotive Devices.
