Adding and Managing Gear in the Garmin Dive App
The gear tracking feature in the Garmin Dive™ app allows you to keep track of the use and maintenance of multiple types of gear over time.
Adding New Gear
Open the Garmin Dive app.
Select Add.
Select Gear.
Select the type of gear from the available options.
After entering details for the gear, select Save.
Gear Reminders
Certain types of gear, such as tanks or regulators, will allow you to enter service date information so you can receive notifications when your gear needs to be serviced. This information can be entered when adding new gear or by editing gear in the app. For more details on the notification settings in the Garmin Dive app see - Setting Gear Reminders in the Garmin Dive App.
Editing Gear
Open the Garmin Dive app.
Select More.
Select Gear.
Select the gear you wish to edit.
Select
in the top right.Select an option:
Edit: allows you to edit service dates and other details for the gear.
Duplicate: copies the gear details to create a new gear item.
Retire: moves gear from In Use to Retired, making it unavailable to add to new dive logs. Retired gear can be unretired later if needed.
Remove: permanently removes the gear and its history.
Adding Gear to Dive Logs
You can edit your dive logs to add gear and track how much it is being used.
Open the Garmin Dive app.
Select Home.
Select
next to a dive log.Select Edit.
Select Log Your Gear.
Select Add Gear.
Select one or more pieces of gear, then select Add.
Select Save.
