Changing or Editing Track Configurations on the Garmin Catalyst
Race tracks often have more than one configuration or racing area layout. These configurations can change in complexity and size. The Garmin Catalyst will detect discrepancies in the configuration if you have driven the track before.
- The device will determine which direction the track is being driven when the vehicle does a lap and crosses the finish line
- Drive session data will be separated between clockwise and counter-clockwise if the track configuration has been driven in both directions
- If you choose the wrong track configuration, the device will give you the option to select the correct configuration or create a new one if it isn't listed at the end of the session
- This option is only available if the track configuration has been driven before, as the track shape previously saved doesn't match the one just driven
- Once the session is saved, the track configuration cannot be changed
- In cases where a track configuration is chosen and driven that has not been driven before, a different track configuration cannot be chosen upon completion
- If this causes an incorrect track shape to be associated with the track configuration chosen, see Clearing the Track Shape on the Garmin Catalyst
If it is your first time driving the track, you may wish to speak with the staff to determine which track configuration to choose.
