Lane Departure Warning System
Lane Departure Warning System (LDWS) relies on the camera to provide warnings for lane markers and, as a result, may have limited functionality in low visibility conditions, poorly marked roads, roads covered with salt/sand, and roads with moderate to sharp curves.
The system should suppress dashed line deviation when traveling on a multi-lane highway in the same direction. If it is a two lane highway then the device will alert when deviating over dashed lines. LDWS will function the same regardless of which side of the road you drive on in your region.
In addition, there may be times when lane tracking errs on the side of caution and provides alerts when crossing dashed lines.
- LDWS alerts when the device detects you may be crossing a lane boundary unintentionally
- The alert appears on the left or right side of the screen to indicate which lane boundary has been crossed
- The vehicle must be traveling at a speed exceeding 40mph (64 km/h) for alerts to be active
- LDWS will display over Map tools
- LDWS will sound an audible alert
- For best LDWS performance, ensure Camera Placement settings are accurate
If you are on a Bluetooth phone call when an alert is needed, phone call audio will temporarily be muted so the alert can be heard.
To disable the Lane Departure Warning System:
- Touch Settings
- Touch Camera
- Touch Lane Departure Warning
The check mark will be removed, and the Lane Departure Warning System will be disabled.
