My Approach G7 Is in the Wrong Language

If your Approach® G7 golf handheld is set to the wrong language and you need to change it, the below instructions will guide you through selecting the correct language. If the language is incorrect on your first usage of the device, follow the steps for resetting the device.

Changing the Language

  1. From the Play screen, touch Gear Icon.

  2. Touch Down Arrow twice.

  3. Touch the second option from the bottom.

  4. Select the language you want from the list.

You have now changed the language on your Approach G7 handheld.

If you were unable to change the language on your device using the steps above, the below instructions will guide you through the steps to reset your device. You will be prompted to select a language during the initial setup. 

Resetting the Approach G7

  1. Power off device.

  2. Press and hold Score/Measure and Green.

  3. Press and release Power.

  4. Release Score/Measure and Green when the Garmin logo disappears.

If you had customized settings, you will need to make these changes again. Bring the device outdoors to a place with a clear view of the sky to connect to GPS satellites. This may take up to 20 minutes.

NOTE: Any scorecards saved to the device will remain on the device after a factory reset.
