Connecting the VIRB Ultra 30 to a Computer as a Removable Drive

By default, when the VIRB Ultra 30 is connected to power, it will remain off and enter Charge mode. This is typically indicated by a red LED on the front of the camera. If the camera is fully charged, this light will not turn on.

If you would like to connect the device as a removable drive on your computer, press and hold the Left/Power button until the camera comes on.

If you would like to make the camera avoid charge mode by default:

1. Power on the VIRB
2. Tap the Menu icon on the screen
3. Tap the Settings icon
4. Select System
5. Select External Power
6. Choose Power On

In this mode, you will need to manually power down your VIRB to charge it.
