Clippd is a third-party company that helps golfers understand where and how they can improve their game. By connecting your Garmin Golf account with Clippd you can integrate Garmin’s on-course information into the Clippd golf technology platform. Clippd offers performance metrics that present a compelling way to understand and measure golfing skill – both overall and in each portion of the game. These metrics give golfers and golf coaches a more precise and immediate way to comprehend and track skill level shot-by-shot and at a point in time.
What Garmin Devices Are Supported?
Any Garmin watch that supports AutoShot will be compatible to integrate your data into Clippd. For a list of Garmin watches that support AutoShot, see AutoShot and Other Features on Garmin Golf Watches and Devices.
Will My Approach Sensors Work?
Approach® CT10 sensors and Approach® CT1 tags are also compatible. With club tracking enabled, your clubs will automatically be assigned, and you will not need to manually input club assignments.
How Do I Set Up Clippd With the Garmin Golf App?
Setting up your Garmin Golf data with Clippd is easy and can be done in a few short steps.
Open the Clippd app or website on your smartphone.
Select your profile and then select Settings.
Select Data Integrations, then select Connect in the Garmin Golf box.
The Garmin Golf™ app will open.
Agree to the terms and conditions to share your data.
NOTE: If you do not have the Garmin Golf app installed, or are not logged in, you may see a login screen.
Once completed, you will be redirected to the Clippd app.
What Do I Need to Enable on My Garmin Watch?
Before playing your first round there are a few features that will need to be turned on:
Scoring: Enables scoring.
Stat Tracking: Enables detailed statistics tracking while playing golf. You can also enable penalty stroke tracking.
Club Prompt: Displays a prompt that enables you to enter the club you used for each detected shot.
The instructions on how to adjust these settings will vary by watch. For more information, see “Activity Settings” or “Activities and App Settings” in your owner's manual.
What Should I Do After a Round?
After finishing a round, it is recommended to check the following:
Club usage: Did you use your watch to track the clubs used for each shot? If not, you can add club selections in Clippd.
Short yardages: Does a shot look too long or short? Correct any errors in Clippd.
Pin positions: Did you adjust pin positions on your watch? If not, you can amend your approach shots and putts to accurately reflect the distance of each shot in Clippd.
When the Garmin Golf app and Clippd are connected, rounds synced to the Garmin Golf app are automatically synced to Clippd. Follow the steps below to confirm Clippd is connected to the Garmin Golf app.
Open the Garmin Golf app.
Select Settings.
Select Connected Apps.
Select Clippd.

Once you have linked your Garmin Golf app and the Clippd app, your rounds and practice sessions will be synced over to Clippd.
Only on-course data is synced. Range session data and health data do not sync.

Player Quality: View skill levels — overall and for each part of the game from the tee box to the putting green.
Shot Quality: Track precise measurements of the quality of each shot.
Importance To Scoring: Identify the skills that drive the best scores.
What To Work On: Follow personalized, data-based practice plans.
Trends: See overall patterns in each part of the game — from drive to putt.
After three rounds of golf are synced to Clippd, you will unlock the What to Work On feature in Clippd. What To Work On identifies the most important areas of your game and highlights where you should focus your practice to start shooting lower scores.
Follow the steps below to stop sharing data with the Clippd app.
Open the Garmin Golf app.
Select Settings.
Select Connected Apps.
Select Clippd.
Select Disconnect.
