How to Record Sonar Logs With Your Raymarine Plotter

Record

Raymarine a and gS Series

We suggest using the «SDF sonar logs» process because it allows better results. Just make sure you updated the plotter software to Lighthouse II R10 or more recent. For best sonar log recording, we suggest you keep your speed under 6 knots, although maximum logging speed may vary depending on which device you are using; perform a grid pattern where the distance between tracks is no more than 50 meters /150 feet; and save about every 30 minutes to reduce any risk of loss.

It is possible to download sonar logs directly from these plotters to Navionics via Wi-Fi if available.

Connect your mobile device to the Wi-Fi in your plotter, then open your Navionics app and go to Menu > Paired Devices. Once connected, sonar logs are the first item to be synced. Any sonar logs found on your Raymarine plotter will be automatically uploaded to us. For more information about this process, see Plotter Sync User's Guide.
