How do I Update my Maps and Are the Maps on My Automotive Device Up-to-Date?

Current Map Version: 2026.10 (North America) as of February 12, 2025.

• Maps Updates are released at least once per year.

  • The Garmin Express™ program will check your device and let you know if your maps are current or if a map update is available. See How Do I Install Garmin Express Software? to get started.

• Some devices also have the ability to be updated through Wi-Fi on the device. 

• See the Software section under your device in Support Center for steps on updating the maps.

NOTE: For instructions to check the version of mapping currently loaded on your device, go to the Support Center and enter the Product Name or the Serial Number of your device. Once your device is selected, in the Search for a solution... box, enter "Verifying Maps Installed on an Automotive Device" 

You Will See One of Three Options after your Device has Been Added to the Garmin Express Program:

• An update will be available.

• You will be informed that your maps are current.

• You will be given an option to purchase an update.
