What Is the Self Evaluation Feature on My Garmin Watch?

Some Garmin watch models will prompt you to add a self evaluation after a completed workout. You can evaluate your perceived effort by rating how hard the workout was on a scale of 1 to 10, followed by rating how you felt using a variable smiley face emoticon. These subjective ratings are then uploaded to your Garmin Connect™ account as part of the activity.

Self-evaluations are for personal use and do not feed into training or performance metrics, and are intended only to provide a way to subjectively track personal progress when completing similar workouts over time. Not all activity profiles have this feature. For instructions to enable or disable this feature and to check compatibility for your watch, refer to your owner's manual.

NOTE: When using a Garmin Coach Expert Running Plan, a self evaluation is required after completing a workout even if you disable the feature on the watch.
