Uploading Fitness Data from a GPX File into Garmin Connect
Outdoor devices that support real time display of a Heart Rate Monitor and Speed/Cadence bike sensor (GSC 101) can upload this information into Garmin Connect. These devices save the information in the Garmin GPX track log and will need to be manually uploaded to Garmin Connect. Refer to your owner's manual on how tracks are saved.
Both PC and Mac users have the ability to manually upload Garmin GPX track log data to Garmin Connect.
Uploading GPX Data
- Connect the device to computer using a USB cable.
- Log into Garmin Connect.
- Click
.
- Select Import Data.
- Select Browse.
- Locate device showing as a mass storage drive.
- Click Garmin folder.
- Click GPX folder.
- Select appropriate track to upload2 (each file is named by date of activity).
- Click Import Data.
The track information will be listed in activities on the Garmin Connect site, along with heart rate and speed and cadence data if collected during the activity.
1 The GSC 10 sensor has been discontinued.
2 If no files exist by the date of the activity, there are no saved tracks on the device. For an Oregon 450, the track must be a saved track vs. an active log, and every point needs to have heart rate data. Be sure the monitor is paired before the recording is started.
